ABSTRACT
In connection with the ongoing reform, teachers will be required in the coming years to implement a new framework educational program into their practice. This project aims to ease this transition by enabling teachers to quickly and easily prepare new lesson plans and create didactic materials such as worksheets or evaluation materials using artificial intelligence. AI will significantly save their time and help them better adapt to the revised framework educational program. In recent years, there has been an increasing emphasis on inclusion in the education system. This trend significantly raises the demands on lesson preparation, as teachers must adapt their lessons to a wide range of educational needs. The proposed AI-based system will provide significant support in this regard, allowing easy preparation of differentiated instruction tailored both for gifted students and for students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities or other specificities. This will enable more effective application of an individualized approach, which is the foundation of quality and inclusive education. The result will not only be time savings for educators but, above all, improved teaching quality and better conditions for the development of each individual student. Equally important is the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process itself. This approach will contribute to enhancing teaching quality, enable teachers to prepare teaching materials more efficiently, and strengthen individualized approaches to students. Moreover, the use of modern technologies will expand students’ digital competencies, who will acquire skills in working with future-oriented tools from an early age. This will increase their readiness for the labor market and their ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving technological environment.
One of the main reasons for the need for the proposed solution is the ongoing reform of the education system, which brings fundamental changes in the form of a new framework educational program. This program places higher demands on teachers, not only in terms of content but also in teaching methodology. Teachers will need to prepare new lesson plans, adapt to new goals and standards, and at the same time maintain teaching quality. This represents a significant increase in time and professional requirements in their daily work.
Another important factor is the rise of artificial intelligence, which is rapidly penetrating all areas of human activity, including education. Although it offers enormous potential to make teaching more effective and improve student outcomes, its use in education often lacks systematic implementation and methodological support. Teachers often have only limited access to tools that would allow them to meaningfully and safely integrate AI into teaching, and proven models for working with these technologies in school practice are missing.
A third significant factor is the emphasis on inclusion in the education system. Teachers face the challenge of effectively engaging students with diverse educational needs, from exceptionally gifted to students with learning, behavioral, or other specific difficulties. Inclusion requires a high degree of individualization, which is difficult to ensure in practice without adequate support. Without suitable tools to help teachers tailor instruction to individual students, teaching quality may decline and educators may become overburdened.
The goal and output of the project is to develop a digital tool that:
- supports teachers in transitioning to the new framework educational program and facilitates meeting its new requirements,
- enables more effective individualization of teaching considering the needs of individual students,
- and simultaneously contributes to the development of digital skills, especially in working with artificial intelligence.
Supported area: Artificial Intelligence
Output type: Digital solution
Verbal specification: A solution for students and teachers enabling the creation of lesson plans and didactic and evaluation materials.
Our specific goal is to create a digital solution that, using artificial intelligence, will enable teachers to:
- easily prepare new lesson plans,
- generate didactic materials such as presentations, texts, or worksheets.
At the same time, it will offer students a modern educational environment based on artificial intelligence, allowing them to:
- work with interactive worksheets,
- practice knowledge through a wide range of tests, questions, and exercises,
- use AI as an assistant that can clearly explain new material or interactively test them on it.
All use of artificial intelligence will be supervised by the teacher. The teacher will provide the AI with the necessary input data and verify the correctness of its output. In the initial phases, AI will serve exclusively as a supportive tool; all created materials will be subject to approval by the instructor, who will act as a control and guaranteeing element. This will ensure the quality and pedagogical appropriateness of outputs and safe and meaningful integration of AI into teaching.
